I’m looking out the window. I am on the bus and the colour of the trees passing by my window form a strange blur or browns, greens and beige. The old man in the aisle across from me looks tired in his red tartan hat.
Its been 25 minutes into my journey when I notice the man adjacent glance at me. Hes wearing dusty blue overalls and steel cap boots. A construction worker I am guessing. Hes rubbing the dirt from his nails with a look of much consideration. I look away and stare out the window, the trees, houses and sidewalk forming one large multicoloured mural of colour.
I find myself savoring this very moment. The very moment that I am here, alive and breathing. This very moment I am experiencing life. My life and everything that encompasses it that makes it mine. The bus ride, the sun, the view, the old man with his tartan hat across the aisle.
I love this life God has given me. It reminds me how far I’ve come.
